Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using crossborderfreelance.com (the "Site") or any tool, calculator, comparison, generator, or other interactive feature ("Tools"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Informational Use Only
The Site provides informational tools and reference content for freelancers, contractors, and small business owners working across borders. Nothing on the Site constitutes tax, legal, financial, immigration, accounting, or investment advice. Outputs from Tools are estimates, comparisons, or reference data based on inputs you provide and on data from public sources. You are solely responsible for verifying information with qualified professionals before making any decision that affects your taxes, residency, legal status, or finances.
3. No Professional Relationship
Use of the Site does not create any professional, fiduciary, attorney-client, accountant-client, or advisor-client relationship between you and Cross Border Freelance / Monday Perspective OÜ or its operators.
4. Accuracy and Currency
We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep reference data accurate and current, but laws, regulations, fees, exchange rates, and visa rules change frequently. We do not warrant that any information on the Site is current, complete, or accurate at the time you use it. Each Tool indicates when its underlying reference data was last verified.
5. Affiliate Links
The Site contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission when you click certain links and purchase a product or service. This does not increase the cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence rankings or comparisons in our Tools — see our methodology pages and Affiliate Disclosure.
6. User-Generated Content and Data
You retain rights to data you input into Tools. We do not store inputs server-side in v1 except where you explicitly opt in (e.g., "Save scenario by email"). Do not input information you would not be comfortable losing or sharing.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: scrape the Site at scale; reverse-engineer Tools; use Tools to provide a competing service without permission; misrepresent any output as official advice or as endorsed by any government or authority.
8. Intellectual Property
All Site content, branding, Tool design, methodology pages, and reference compilations are owned by Cross Border Freelance / Monday Perspective OÜ or its licensors. You may share, embed (via official embed code), and link to public Tools. You may not republish full content without permission.
9. Embeddable Widgets
Where we offer official embed codes (e.g., the Tax Residency Days Tracker widget), you may embed those Tools on your own site without modification, provided the "Powered by crossborderfreelance.com" attribution remains visible. We may revoke embed access for any embed at any time.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL TOOLS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CROSS BORDER FREELANCE / MONDAY PERSPECTIVE OÜ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR ANY TOOL, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED EURO (€100) OR THE EQUIVALENT IN YOUR LOCAL CURRENCY.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cross Border Freelance / Monday Perspective OÜ, its operators, employees, and contractors from any claim arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on any Tool output for any decision.
13. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Estonia (Harju Maakohus).
14. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.
